How the Early Childhood Environment Rating Scales Revised Tool (ECERS-R) can Support Sites with Continuous Quality Improvement: How to modify your classroom environment to meet ECERS-R requirements

This training will provide an overview of the Early Childhood Environmental Rating Scale-Revised (ECERS-R), including the validity and the different purposes the tools serve. Attendees will gain an understanding of how these tools relate to quality environments and tips on how to make positive long-lasting changes to their program's environment. Lastly, participants will also learn how ECERS-R promotes continuous quality improvement.
Participants must have their ECERS-R booklets available for use throughout the training.
Training Details
Intended Audience: Open to all center-based early learning programs serving preschool children in San Mateo County.
Date: Saturday, October 9, 2021
Time: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM (we ask participants to log onto the Zoom Meeting 15 minutes prior to the start of the training to test audio and visual access)
Participants must attend the entirety of the training session to receive attendance credit.
Location: Online Training via Zoom (screened device recommended to visually follow along with presentation)
Registration deadline: Monday, October 4, 2021
Notes: There will be no cost to participants to attend the training. However, advanced registration is required. For providers who wish to receive professional development credit for this training, an ECE Workforce Registry Number is also required.
